Ingredients of Ishtu (Potato Stew)

  1. It’s 2 of Potatoes Boiled and Peeled).
  2. Prepare 2 of Onions sliced.
  3. It’s 3 of Green chillies.
  4. You need 1 tablespoon of Gingelly Oil.
  5. It’s As needed of Curry leaves.
  6. Prepare 1 piece of cinnamon.
  7. It’s 2 pieces of Cardamom.
  8. It’s 2 of Cloves.
  9. It’s To taste of Ginger sliced.
  10. Prepare To taste of Salt.
  11. It’s As needed of Fresh thick Coconut Milk.

Ishtu (Potato Stew) step by step

  1. Take all the ingredients and boil the potatoes softly..
  2. Now temper all the ingredients and saute the sliced onions with salt till it changes the colour.
  3. Once everything sauteed well add the boiled potatoes and give a nice mix..
  4. Final step is add the fresh thick Coconut milk and cook it for few mins and switch off the stove..
  5. Now the Ishtu is ready to eat with chapati and raita.
  6. It goes very well with chapatis,dosas, idlis, steamed rice and any Pulao.
